LAWRENCE ANTHONY WASHINGTON

His Story

Mr. Lawrence Anthony Washington, was born April 26, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Louis and Florine Washington. He attended T. J. Austin Elementary School, Roberts Jr High School, and graduated from John Tyler High School in 1971.

Upon graduation Lawrence enlisted into the United States Marine Corps. While serving he reached the rank of Lance Corporal (E3) while serving his for 4 years. Upon leaving active service he received an honorable discharge. After leaving the military Lawrence attended Devry Technical School majoring in Electrical Engineering

He joined Miles Chapel C.M.E. Church which was his family(s) home church, then later became a member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Tyler, TX where he remained until moving to Dallas, TX

On May 14, 2025 at 4:25 P.M., with his baby brother by his side Lawrence received his eternal orders to serve Active Duty in the Heavenly Marine Corps.

Lawrence is preceded in transition by his parents Louis and Florine Washington. His Eldest Sister Georgia L. Dixon. His grandparents and other relatives.

He leaves to cherish his memory, two brothers, Antonia L. Washington, Tyler, TX, and Tracey S. Washington, Dallas, TX. Three sisters Mrs. Donna Morehead, Dallas, TX, Nina M. Washington and Tammy L. Washington, Tyler, TX. Two brothers-in-law. Steve Dixon, Dallas, TX, and Charles Morehead, Tyler, TX. Two uncles James A. Wilborn and Larry Wilborn, Dallas, TX., and one aunt Dianne Fostor, Dallas, TX, and a multitude of nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.
