ELNORA COLE STAFFORD

Elnora Cole Stafford, 96, of Garland TX, passed away on Monday February 2 nd , 2026,

peacefully and surrounded by loved ones.

Elnora was born on June 23, 1929, in Clarksville, TX to Herschel Cole and Helen Bush.

As a young adult she was a talented seamstress and took pride in her skill and the

quality of her work.

She and the family moved to Dallas TX early on and several years later relocated to

Garland, Texas where she owned a home on E. Miller Road and remained there for the

rest of her life.

She was a devoted wife to Sidney Stafford from their union in holy matrimony until his

departure in May of 1989. She and Sidney built a full life together and raised their

beloved children and grandchildren. Her greatest accomplishments, pride and joy in life

were her 4 children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved her family

immensely.

She was a devout member of New Mt. Hebron Baptist Church in Garland, TX for well

over 40 years. She loved her church family and continued to be a faithful servant to the

Lord until her departure.

She was preceded in death by her youngest daughter Yvette Harris, loving husband

Sidney Stafford and best friend Levado Buford.

She is survived by her children, daughters Delois Jackson, Chequita Jackson and son

Dwayne Harris. Grandchildren; Toby Harris and his wife Star Harris, Eric Jackson,

Daytonia Jackson, Allen Roberson II (Junior), Brandon Roberson and Maurice Harris

and great-grandchildren; Rahmaad, Jazmine and Zack (spouse), Chase, DJ, Storm,

Hurricane, Ashley, Lil’ Red, Hanna, Y’miracle and a host of other relatives.
